

About Dr. Barber
Dr. Mary F. Barber has performed over 30,000 Mohs procedures. Dr. Barber performs comprehensive skin exams, conducts biopsies, and provides necessary treatment for skin cancer patients. She has been a MOHS surgeon for 25 years. She still practices at the Skin Cancer Center of Central Florida (skincf.com) with her daughter, Rebecca Thornhill, M.D. Since moving to the beautiful Blue Ridge area, she has seen the growing need for skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
With the help of her husband, Scott Kelley, the real estate and IT Guru and Maggy Byers, Practice Administrator, she opened the Blue Ridge office March 2024. She limits her practice to the treatment of proven skin cancer patients. Dr Barber also welcomes second opinions for biopsy proven cancers Take out performs skin examinations
She and her husband are proud UNITED STATES AIR FORCE VETERANS.

Maggy is a native of Blairsville where she currently lives with her husband and son, Zaine . She began her training in 2009 and is adept at all levels of dermatology from the clinical, the mohs histology lab and overseeing the front office. Maggy provides expertise in billing, IT and administration with over 15 years in the medical field.
She has a passion for her work and is a great asset to lead our team! Maggy loves to travel to the beach and soak up sunshine with lots of sunscreen of course, and a good book!
